Crochet Headphone Covers
Specifically for the Apple AirPod Max but can be adapted
Materials
Yarn - (I use Wonder Woolen by Fleece Artist) it is about 1/8 of an inch, medium weight. You can use whatever yarn you want, just make sure your gauge swatches matches mine.
Crochet Hook - I used a 4mm but you can use whatever hook you want, just make sure your gauge swatch matches mine.
Needle, Scissors and Thread in a matching colour
Gauge Swatch - 3dc per inch
(I am using American Terms)
ch - chain
slst - slip stitch
inc - double half double crochet
hdc - half double crochet
fhdc - foundation half double crochet
trc - triple crochet
Headphone Cover (make 2)
fhdc (foundation half double crochet) 8
row1 - ch1, hdc8
row2 - ch1, hdc8
row3 - ch1, hdc8
row4 - ch1, hdc8
row5 - ch1, hdc8
row6 - ch1, hdc8
weave in end
crochet around the edge starting at the middle of the top
(it took me about 34-36 stitches to go all the way around)
slst into the top once you make a full rotation then repeat for a second row
after you do the second row do not slst into the top just leave the little gap open
weave elastic or yarn around the edge and pull to secure around the headphone
Flower (make 2)
(use colour you want for interior of flower)
ch3, slst into first st to create circle
row1 - ch1, hdc10 into circle
(change colours for petal)
slst circle closed
petal 1 - ch3, trc4 into the same stitch, slst 2 times down the last trc, slst into the next 2 sts around the base circle
petal 2 - ch3, trc4 into the same stitch, slst 2 times down the last trc, slst into the next 2 sts around the base circle
petal 3 - ch3, trc4 into the same stitch, slst 2 times down the last trc, slst into the next 2 sts around the base circle
petal 4 - ch3, trc4 into the same stitch, slst 2 times down the last trc, slst into the next 2 sts around the base circle
petal 5 - ch3, trc4 into the same stitch, slst 2 times down the last trc, slst into the next 2 sts around the base circle
weave in end
Spike (make as many as you want in various sizes)
ch3, slst into first ch to form circle
row1 - ch1, hdc5 into loop
row2 - ch1, hdc1, inc, hdc1, inc, hdc1
row3 - ch1, hdc2, inc, hdc2, inc, hdc1
row4 - ch1, hdc3, inc, hdc3, inc, hdc1
row5 - ch1, hdc4, inc, hdc4, inc, hdc1
*stop here or continue to make larger spike
